This policy explains what TechLearn ("the app", "we") collects and how it is used. Please review and have it checked by a qualified professional before publishing — this is a template, not legal advice.

Summary

TechLearn is a learning app. We collect the minimum needed to run the feed and remember your preferences. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, or photos. We do not sell your data, and we do not show third-party ads (this may change in a future version; this policy will be updated if so).

What we collect

  • Anonymous account id. When you open the app, we create an anonymous account (no sign-up, no personal details). It exists only to save your settings and reading history.
  • Your preferences. The domains, sub-topics, and difficulty level you choose.
  • Reading activity. Which cards you have seen (so we don't repeat them) and which you have saved/bookmarked.
  • Basic technical/diagnostic data. Standard app/device information and crash logs used to keep the app working (via our infrastructure providers).

We do not collect special-category or sensitive personal data.

How we use it

  • To personalize and de-duplicate your learning feed.
  • To remember your saved cards and settings across sessions.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Where your data is stored

App data is stored using Supabase (our hosted database/auth provider). Access is restricted by row-level security so that one user cannot read another user's data.

Third-party content

Cards summarize information from public sources (e.g. Wikipedia, RSS feeds, YouTube) and always link to the original. We don't control those sites; their content is provided for educational purposes and is not guaranteed to be accurate (see the in-app disclaimer). Opening a source link may load that third party's own page subject to their policies.

Children's privacy

TechLearn is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. A dedicated kids/parental-control mode is planned for a future version.

Your choices and rights

  • Reset history: clear your seen-card history any time in Settings.
  • Delete your data: use the in-app "Delete my data" option (Settings), or email yash@parallellearning.in and we will delete your anonymous account and associated data.
  • Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data; contact us to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
